Waterford is six miles northwest of Leesburg, Virginia, and about one hour west of Washington, DC. Dulles International Airport is only 22 minutes away. The village is inhabited by a cross section of professionals working in the metropolitan Washington, DC area. There are quite a few young couples with children who populate the Waterford Elementary School, which is regarded as the best in Loudoun County.
